The Sowra Top Crochet Pattern
Product Detail
PRODUCT DETAIL
The Sowra Top takes its name from Samhradh (pronounced sow-ra), the Irish word for summer. Designed to be light, versatile, and easy to wear, it sits somewhere between a top and a cover-up.
The top is worked by creating front and back circular panels separately, beginning at the center and crocheting outward in the round until the desired size is achieved. The panels are then joined and the body is worked downward from the underarm, with shoulders seamed at a later stage. Finishing edges are added after construction is complete. It can be worn alone, layered over swimwear, or styled over everyday basics.
